What I Wore: Top of the World
Tuesday, February 05, 2013
I didn't realise it until I looked through these photos, but I think the ones above and below are the perfect example of the wind in Scotland, see below my hair still in roughly the right place, windswept but in a nice way? Versus that ratty mess above, yup, that's what five minutes on top of the National Museum of Scotland will do to you folks! We were walking through town yesterday and seeing as we had both extra time, and no dogs with us we went for a quick wander round the museum. I've been wanting to take outfit photos on their roof for months but haven't had the chance till now. Despite the wind (and me freezing my arse off) I'm really pleased with how they came out.
We had a great hour wandering round our favourite exhibits (I'll share some photos from inside on Thursday) and it was absolutely lovely to spend some time just to two of us. Having the dogs means couple time can be limited to activities at home or going for walks. It always feels a little bit special when we get time just the two of us.

We're all at panic stations today. We got 2 days warning of a flat inspection, and although it's not actually that dirty in here, we've all gone in to overdrive giving it a thorough clean and get all those little bits that get forgotten day to day. It's nice to have something pushing you to get it done though. Unfortunately we also have house guests this week, so nothing is staying tidy for long. C'est la vie. It's definitely worth a little bit of mess to have the company of good friends.

Gorgeous pics - I haven't yet been to the National Museum but it's at the top of my to-see list - and it jumped an extra few spots after you showcased it's lovely rooftop views :) Loving your outfit here - really pretty dress and I love it paired with the edgier boots. The grey tights work really well too - I tend to lazily rely on black but playing around with colours can really add to an outfit.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics! I was in Scotland over the summer. It was only for a few days and I am dying to go back. Edinburgh is incredible!
ReplyDeleteYes, it definitely looks cold - and windy! But it looks great to, especially with the snow on the mountains, and your outfits looks great. And windswept hair is a good look ;)
