Is anyone else in shock that we are a third of the way through October already? I just cannot get over it. I had so many great plans for crafting, and finally getting my sewing machine set up. Not that I haven't got plenty done, just not the plenty I had intended. Oh well. This week I am going to get started on Halloween decorations, I love seasonal decorations so I am going to put some stuff up in our windows/round the flat at the end of the month (and then probably leave them up till Christmas).
Anyway, on with the outfit. I think I am in love with this outfit, the creamy lace and the orange just go so well together. An unexpected and happy surprise. I picked up this dress on sale in Zara in August on sale (£10!), I originally planned to wear it for my birthday but ended up changing my mind. I thought about returning it, and then convinced myself not to. I'm so glad I did because it's just beautiful, and on top of that it feels amazing! I've been pretty much living in these boots lately too, they are a pair of my mum's that she never wore and they are so cosy! I've already done another outfit photo where I am wearing them again. Does anyone else do that? Over wear items just after you get them?
I'm still wondering where summer snuck off to...I'm not at all ready for the onslaught of winter!! I'm also eyeing up sewing machines for the long evenings...now just to get some lessons in how to use one first :) I love the orange/cream lace combo here...that dress is gorgeous and even more of a keeper at that bargain price!!
I really need to get mine set up, it seems so sad that I have had it since August and not used it yet. I could probably do with a couple of lessons too, I don't think I've tried sewing since school xo
I cannot believe that it is essentially almost Halloween already! Gah! Crazy right??? I really love this look on you. The rust cardigan looks great with your lace dress and your awesome hair!
Yes! Whenever I get something new I wear the crap out of it. I over wear things all the time, but there's nothing wrong with that! Your lace dress is really pretty and I love those boots! Oh, and your hair! I'm too afraid to dye my hair anymore because I've damaged it in the past, but I absolutely love love LOVE your hair!! :)
I'm petrified I've totally destroyed it with bleach, to the point where I am too scared to straighten/blow dry it, which is a shame because I keep just sticking it up in a bun. I do love it though. Thanks honey xo
I love the lace dress with the orange sweater, I actually have pieces like this that I want to wear so badly!! Such a beautiful look for fall! It's a really good thing you didn't return this dress, it's a gorgeous piece And your hair is of course amazing xJennaD
I totally feel you on wearing items like crazy after you buy them! I have been living in the pair of jeans... which I incidentally am currently wearing, for...uhm... an embarrassingly long time. I just get too excited about a new thing and want to see every possible combination it fits into in my wardrobe! Perhaps as a way to suppress shoppers guilt by proving to myself that it is a USEFUL new addition.
That's exactly it, I worry if I don't find every possible outfit with a new item as quickly as possible I will forget. It's silly but then so if my shopping addiction(!) A new pair of jeans is definitely worth over wearing though, I never feel comfortable in jeans until they have been worn in xo
Gorgeous dress! And, I love your hair color :) I can't believe this month is a third gone, either! I need to get on making Halloween costumes & planning a party.
