The past week has been such a one of ups and downs, I know I still haven't shared my exciting news with you, but it seems wrong to be talking about something happy when I received such bad news yesterday. Tuppence, my parent's dog, has been diagnosed with lymphoma. He's a very old dog (over 20 now) but I've been pretty devastated by the news. Losing Bertie earlier this year was a real blow, not just to me, but to the whole family, and now the possibility of losing Tups too has really just knocked us on our asses. The vet has put him on some medication to help him out, but realistically I probably won't get to spend another Christmas with him.
I'm going to spend this weekend at my parents house, spending as much time with him as possible. We don't know when he might go back downhill. This isn't something I really wanted to blog about either, it's a bit too personal, but I've never been great at hiding my emotions, even in posts, so if I'm not my usual cheerful self then this'll be why.
Sorry again for the heavy post guys, but my dogs are such a huge part of my life, I cannot imagine not sharing their ups and downs with you all too.
I am so sorry to hear about Tupp. Pets really do become a part of your family- especially after 20 years, and they are so sweet and lovable. Enjoy your weekend!
I am so very sorry to hear this. Pets really are an important part of us and our families. He sounds like such a sweet little pup. I'm glad you are able to have time to spend with him. Sending my hugs over your way as I know it's not easy. xx Marisa
Oh gosh I'm so sorry for your previous loss and also for these terrible news. I lost my beloved dog Holly last year after some months of illness and I was devastated so I can understand how you feel.
