The seasons have officially changed in Scotland, the leaves are falling around me and for the first time I can see my breath in the morning. Autumn is both my favourite and my most dreaded season. I love the changes in the world at this time of year, the colours are so inspiring, but at the same time the shorter days and the stress of the run up to Winter also make it the most difficult season for my mental health.
Luckily I have this one last set of photos from the Summer to remind me of warm days in the sun, and late evenings watching the sunset.
I took these photos on my birthday (a number of weeks ago now) and only got round to sorting through them last night. The only thing I desperately wanted to do with my birthday was so take the dogs on one last summer walk, so me, my parents and my brother all jumped in the car and travelled up to Fife for the day. It was an absolutely perfect day, warm with a cool breeze and a bowl of soup at the end of it.
Hi Alice! I adore these photos, they are so lovely and make me dreamy! What a beautiful place to visit and as much as I love autumn, it is strange to think about the hibernation we have to go into for winter. Wish I could frolick in the forest with you! xoxo Christine
I LOVE that first photo. and the stone wall so reminds me of when I grew up in England. they just don't have those in the U.S, at least not on the west coast. i dream about old English stone walls. beautiful. xo MOorea
Beautiful photos, they feel so nostalgic and peaceful, it's really lovely. Summer's flown by so fast, I can't believe shops are putting out christmas stock already, it's crazy!
Your photos are so beautiful, they look straight from a fairytale. Is that really how pretty Scotland is? I love autumn too. Carla redpunzel-Carla.blogspot.com
